On McDonald’s China 31st Anniversary released first-ever NFT
Mcdonald’s China released an NFT on their 31st Anniversary.
This event is an excellent indication of NFTs becoming mainstream. On 8th October, Mcdonald’s China celebrated their 31st Anniversary. They also opened a new headquarter building in Shanghai as well as announced the Big Mac NFT. The firm released its signature meal in the format of an NFT.
Zhang Jiayin, McDonald’s China CEO, expressed his approval of McDonald becoming the first domestic restaurant in the country to launch an NFT. He also states that the brand new headquarters building is a great development for the franchise in China. he considered both of these aspects as milestones while saying, “At this special moment, we use the form of NFT to share McDonald’s innovation, digitalization and trend art with employees and consumers.”
McDonald’s is all set to release 188 NFT that will be available to the customers and employees in the form of gifts. Jiayin also claims that the company continues to pay attention to the latest technology and trends.
The NFTs structure has been inspired by the Shanghai headquarters of the company. It is also inspired by the five core company values: service, community, tolerance, family and integrity.
NFTs has become so much in the demand that releasing an NFT gets a company free media coverage. When McDonald's launched an NFT on its anniversary, people immediately started talking about it on social media.
