Justin Aversano’s Ethereum NFT photography Twin Flames auctioned by Christie

Christie’s auction house has added a piece from Justin Aversano’s Twin Flames collection to its stunning NFT collection this week. The Ethereum NFT picture series by the artist is in high demand.
The artwork,
Twin Flames #83 “Bahareh & Farzaneh,” was the only non-fungible token
in the Christie’s sale, which will include tangible artworks by Ansel
Adams, Diane Arbus, and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
“Bahareh &
Farzaneh” is the title of one of the 100 NFTs displaying real-life images of
unique twin sets. For each Twin Flames NFT, Justin Aversano delivers 100
physical prints. Christie’s estimated the lot could be worth up to $150,000 in
total.
According to
Christie’s, who auctioned it off, the work drew a lot of attention from clients
in the room and over the phone, and after four minutes of vigorous bidding, it
sold for $1.1 million, over 10 times its low estimate, to a buyer in the room.
Photographer
Justin Aversano’s Twin Flames collection is the largest photography NFT project
- and it’s still expanding. The photo series was produced in memory of his
twin, who died while still in the womb.
The images were taken all around the world between 2017 and 2018, and feature a diverse range of subjects in the settings and outfits of their choice, all connected by the shared trait of being twins.
