The Sims Creator Will Wright Launches NFT driven game Proxi

Will Wright, the designer of The Sims and SimCity, has launched a new NFT-driven game, named Proxi. This game will allow its users to create and sell NFTs, and use those to develop in-game memories.
The Video game designer Wright is legendary in the area for designing classics such as “The Sims” and “SimCity” with studio Maxis. Wright is experimenting with blockchain for the next game to an experience centered on NFTs, which is the first in more than a decade.
“Proxi” has the same kind of inventive streak as “Spore,” which is Wright’s past creation. Driven by artificial intelligence, it is a simulation game designed to take players on a journey of self-discovery enhanced by true ownership of in-game assets.
“Proxi” is developed by Gallium Studios, Wright’s new team. The game initiates with its players creating a personal diorama of memories using the in-game items. Eventually, it makes a user avatar and lets the players interact with other ones. Gallium aims to assist the players in “gain more insights about their subconscious,” according to an announcement.
“Proxi” is focused on user-generated content. It follows a trend popularized by smash hit games like Fortnite and Roblox, and the NFT collectibles.
Proxi’s first NFT is available starting today for purchase. It will allow its users to own their memory creations as NFTs. They can even profit from the sale of items within the game.
A NFT behaves like a receipt for a digital item. It represents things like images and video files. It can also be tied to individual video game items resold to other users.
Wright told in a release, “I’ve always considered the community and their efforts an integral part of my games’ experience. With Forte’s blockchain platform, we now have a secure way to integrate and reward the community’s contributions.”
