TIME Launches More than 4,500 NFT Collection TIMEPieces

TIME, the iconic news magazine, has made a giant move into the non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem by launching its community collection consisting of more than 4,500 NFT collections known as TIMEPieces.
The announcement read, “Team, Today, we are launching TIMEPieces, a new NFT community, an initiative from TIME featuring original works by more than 40 artists.”
40 artists have collaborated with TIME to produce this community NFT collection. The collection went live on September 23 in a “blind drop” consisting of 4,676 pieces. These are now up for sale on OpenSea, the NFT marketplace. Each NFT started at 0.1 ETH, but they are already generating much more on secondary markets. The drop consists of a variety of editions that totals 4,676 pieces. TIME claims that these will be revealed once all of them are minted.
TIMEPieces aims to celebrate the work of those artists that has been a core aspect of the TIME brand for 100 years.
