Football legend Lionel Messi is launching his own NFT collection
Football legend Lionel Messi has disclosed his first ever official NFT collection ‘The Messiverse’, partnered with blockchain platform Ethernity via his Instagram on 4th August.
The NFT collection featuring four non-fungible token collectibles, will be available soon on Ethernity’s official website. Welcoming soccer fans to Messiverse, the 34-year old football legend announced through his Instagram on Wednesday, “I am happy to announce my first official #NFT collection dropping on #Ethernity soon.”
The first three exclusive NFT set is designed by Australian artist Bosslogic, includes art pieces, each on Messi, entitled “Man from the Future”, “Worth the Weight” and “The King Piece”. The upcoming fourth NFT will be revealed on 20th August designed by creative agency Impossible Brief.
Bosslogic renowned for working with both Marvel & Disney stated in an official release, “The collection is a set of pieces outlining achievements, moments, team love, and future accomplishments focusing mainly on the man himself.” He also added, “Thanks to Ethernity, the dream of working with one of my favourite people in the world and one of the GOATs of our time, Messi, I have had the honour and privilege to create a set of pieces for the icon; to go down in history as his first singular NFT drop!”
After Messi’s announcement, the value of ERN token, the native token of Ethernity Chain climbed over 45%. This sudden price surge is not so new for Ethernity Chain as the token worth $74 back in March 2021 and even once has outdid Bitcoin from the United States’ weekly top trending coin.
Additionally, the digital platform of producing super rare NFT collectibles, Ethernity Chain makes its fame for its collaboration with pro hockey player Alex Ovechkin and former UFC champion Anderson Silva of their own collections.
With a new five-year contract with FC Barcelona legendary forward player Lionel Messi can now finally celebrate his achievements in digital form with this NFT collectibles drop in partnership with Ethernity
