India to verify diploma certificates using Ethereum blockchain

India shall verify the diploma certificate with the help of Ethereum blockchain. A partnership between the government of Maharashtra and Indian blockchains startup LegitDoc was made. This change was announced on July 27 with an intension to help the government rebuilt higher education.
To establish a verification system related to blockchain Maharashtra government introduced one of them. The new system will provide transparency. The implementation will also be used as tamper-proof for the diploma certificates.
For certificate verification the verification process is different. The verifier must upload the certificate to the MSBSD verification portal. Further, the verification portal will split the uploaded zip file into blockchain proof and certificate proof. The portal will calculate PDF fingerprints and will compare them with blockchain-proof data.
The MSBSD certificate PDF is used to find unique digital fingerprints. The unique fingerprint is signed by the portal and is published on the blockchain. The unique blockchain proof is further attached to the certificate PDF and is being issued by the students through a zip file.
The pilot project is one of the new initiatives
in the education field. The new blockchain technology used it's quite
challenging. The government should in fact with a better solution and deal with
the best for the student community. The project will inspire the students and
they will follow the policy innovatively.
