Crypto Exchange Coinbase is building a new office in India and hiring new engineers


American company Coinbase that operates a cryptocurrency exchange platform announced to launch in India. Co-founder & CEO Brian Armstrong tweeted on Friday on expanding its operations in India.
In his tweet, Armstrong said: "Coinbase is building out an office in India! The amazing team already in place - come join us." He also attached a link to a blog by the VP of engineering and site lead for India, Pankaj Gupta, which mentions the company's plans and ambitions in India.
In the post shared by Gupta, the crypto market globally has “never been more exciting”, especially India, which has seen a lot of talent in crypto space, working on important local projects such as Polygon and Instadapp, adding: “It is well known that India has a vibrant, world-class community of software engineers, technology builders, and entrepreneurs…we are positively surprised at growing expertise in crypto and blockchain technologies as well."
Coinbase is “fully committed to expand understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain in India”, and plans to hire “hundreds of engineers soon... by equally complemented by high-quality product, design teams and HR to build out a sustainable, well-rounded tech hub".
Coinbase is looking forward to hiring the best talent from all parts of India, offering a truly flexible and hybrid work environment with physical offices in key cities.
The new Indian recruits will be offered a one-time $1000 in crypto so that they truly understand the products and services to help build products that will be world-class and futuristic that surpass customer's expectations globally.
Armstrong's tweet had garnered more than 5,000 likes and 1,000+ retweets, with many positive comments from crypto enthusiasts.
