SpaceX is now accommodating Dogecoin. It will be paid completely in the cryptocurrency to launch an upcoming satellite named DOGE-1 to go- the Moon. Last updated on 09, May’21, the DOGE-1 is a CubeSat meant to procure lunar-spatial intelligence. It applies the help of sensors and cameras on-board with united communications and computational systems.
Many controversies have taken place but they have come out of it. It is sent and paid for by a company called Geometric Energy Corporation, and it’ll be glided up on a Falcon 9 rocket in the first quarter of 2022.
Mission thoughts:
This mission will validate the application of cryptocurrency outside Earth orbit and set the foundation for space commerce, stated Tom Ochinero- SpaceX Vice President of Commercial Sales. We are eager to launch DOGE-1 to the Moon!
Elon Musk is the coin’s maximum profile follower, tweeting Dogecoin memes, bringing up himself as the Dogefather. On May 8, the value of the token fell, spreading out $30 billion of Dogecoin’s market value, after Elon Musk’s much-anticipated arrival on the American TV show on SNL.
What’s the deal plans?
Having legitimately transacted with DOGE for a deal of this scale, Geometric Energy Corporation and SpaceX have set DOGE as a unit of account for lunar business in the space sector, mentioned by Samuel Reid- Geometric Energy's Chief Executive Officer.
The announcement appears to be intended to fight back against that story. Ochinero says the partnership sets “the groundwork for interplanetary commerce.” Also, Geometric Energy Corporation’s CEO utters the transaction “solidified DOGE as a unit of version for lunar business in the space subdivision.”
The press release goes on to say that Dogecoin is “classy enough to finance a commercial Moon mission in full” and that it’ll be applied for all lunar business between the two companies. The founder of SpaceX and Tesla has been contributory in pushing up the value in the past few months with his tweets. He has also promised to “put an exact Dogecoin on the literal moon”.
