YouTube pulls the plug on another crypto live stream.

Crypto
YouTuber Sunny Decree recently saw his live stream cut short by YouTube. The
platform stated the video had violated its 'harmful and dangerous
policy.' Sunny Decree issued
a tweet on September 5. The video-sharing platform halted his most
recent live stream on his English language channel.
The creator is based in Switzerland. He also records in German. Youtube warned him
a second offense would result in a one-week suspension of service. He would be
suspended from live streaming, uploading, and posting.
Decree's channel has been targeted by YouTube before. YouTube began aggressively
deleting videos with crypto-related content in December 2019. High-profile channels
have had videos removed without explanation. Decree's channel has more than
123,000 subscribers. YouTube later called the move as an "error." It
restored many of the videos.
But,
the platform has continued to target many crypto-related channels. This is
seemingly in response to the fake 'crypto giveaway' scam videos. These videos
are periodically posted.
The platform
shut down the official channel of the cryptocurrency and digital currency news-focused website Bitcoin.com in
June. This was for a violation of YouTube's Terms of Service. The channel and
all 40,000 subscribers were restored two days later after an appeal.
Other
platforms, such as Cointelegraph, have also had similar experiences. They also
faced YouTube's strange attitude towards cryptocurrency. In May, the platform
suddenly pulled the plug on Cointelegraph's Bitcoin Halving live stream. They
cut the July 15 live stream coverage on the infamous Twitter hack short.
In April 2020, Ripple has sued YouTube for proliferating XRP Giveaway scams on
its platform.
