Steps to protect yourself from Coronavirus
  • Clean your hands frequently
  • Often Wash your hands thoroughly with soapy water or sanitizer for at least 20 seconds
  • Wash your hands rubbing properly after you are back from public places.
  • Wash your hands every time after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can be used.
Proper Method to Wash your hands
  • Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub gently for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Use a soap and water to wash your hands.
What should be avoided?
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact at public places
  • Avoid close contact with people who have corona related symptoms
  • Distance yourself from others if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
  • People with low immunity or patients should avoid to going to public places

Precautions for yours and others safety

If you are Sick:
  • Stay home and distance yourself from others, if you’re sick
  • Get medical help immediately if you have corona related symptoms
  • If you are sick, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue
  • When you cough or sneeze, use the inside of your elbow.
  • Throw the used tissues in the trash
  • Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Wear a facemask if you are sick
  • Wear a facemask in public places even at the healthcare center.
  • If you are not able to wear a facemask for trouble in breathing, then at least cover your Coughs and sneezes, Ask others to wear a facemask if they enter your room. 
If you are NOT Sick: 
  • No need to wear a facemask in homes if no one is sick in your family.
  • Facemasks may be in short supply and they should be saved for caregivers.
  • Precautionary Measures to Clean and Disinfect
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs
  • Tables, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, mobile phones, keys etc.
  • Clean frequently toilets, faucets, and sinks with disinfectants
  • Use detergent or soap and water before disinfection.
