South Korean seoul govt launched its own public metaverse to deal with civil grievances

The South Korean government launched 'Metaverse Seoul' in 2023 to commence its metaverse expansion. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has taken this step in order to deal with civil complaints, consultations, and education, as well as to get as many people as possible to use a virtual world. The mayor of Seoul asked people to join "Metaverse Seoul," a public metaverse project.
First, Seoul said that by 2021, there would be a virtual area where people could meet with avatars of government officials to handle civil complaints and consultations, which can only be done now by going to municipal offices. The program will be available to the public in 2023. It will include services such as a fintech lab, a corporate assistance centre, and Seoul's top ten tourist sites. There will also be a room for counseling youth, counseling for the civil service, and tax services.
During a time of transition, Metaverse Seoul will play an important communication role for citizens. It is a complete administrative service that anyone can use at any time and in any place.
The virtual world has been well received in South Korea. Also, the city of Seongnam in South Korea has said it wants to make a digital copy so that residents can use NFT identification to access city information and services.
Some people have said that the sector needs police because these virtual worlds are also used for bad things.
Other achievements in the metaverse area :
Tuvalu, a small island nation with about 12,000 people, has said that it wants to be the first digital nation in the world. According to many projections, the metaverse market will be worth $1 trillion by 2030. According to CoinMarketCap, metaverse tokens have a market cap of approximately $12 billion.
