Hashkey, a global asset manager focused on crypto and blockchain assets, announced the closing of its new third fund "Hashkey Fintech Investment III," after raising $500 million in committed capitalThe HashKey FinTech Investment Fund III was sponsored by institutional investors such as sovereign-wealth funds, corporations, and family offices.


With an emphasis on emerging markets, the fund will be invested in crypto and blockchain initiatives around the world. It will focus on investing in infrastructure, technologies, and applications that have the potential to achieve mass adoption. Fund III will give institutional-level exposure to all aspects of blockchain and crypto technology.


The "HashKey Fintech Investment III" fund of the company is committed to the development of crypto solutions, blockchain technology, and Web3 concepts. Hashkey Capital is one of Asia's largest crypto funds, managing over $1 billion in customer assets.


HashKey is launching its latest fund during an extended bear market and amid a number of high-profile cryptocurrency scandals, including the collapse of FTX, a multibillion-dollar exchange.


The firm's Hashkey Digital Asset Group (HDAG) teamed with Hong Kong-based ZA International in mid-December 2022 to investigate collaborative potential in digital assets, Web3, and distributed ledger technology (DLT), among other areas.

Crunchbase reports that the company has around 56 investments to date, including stakes in Aztec, Cosmos, Coinlist, Falcon X, Polkadot, and Animoca Brands
