Ukrainian Pharmacies Take Steps Towards Crypto Payment

Binance Pay is now accepted as a payment method at a major Ukrainian chain of pharmacies. The company, which operates numerous drugstores throughout Ukraine, announced that customers will be able to use cryptocurrency for online purchases.
The ANC pharmacy chain in Ukraine, with over 130 branches and 7 million customers annually is now accepting various cryptocurrencies as payment for medicine and other items. This new payment option became available on Tuesday, and ANC claims it is the first pharmacy chain in Europe to accept this form of payment.
"From Jan. 3, you will be able to enjoy instant payments when purchasing pharmacy products. It will be possible to pay for orders with cryptocurrency on Anc.ua."
Binance Pay, the payment system developed by the world's largest digital asset exchange, is now available for ANC customers to use. With Binance Pay, users and businesses can pay for goods and services with over 70 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin. By downloading the Binance app, ordering through the ANC website, and paying with Binance Pay, customers can pick up or have their purchases delivered.
Ukrainian companies, such as Varus and tech stores Tehnoezh and Stylus, have used Binance Pay and Whitepay (developed by Whitebit) to allow customers to make crypto payments. Varus has over 100 stores in Ukraine and Tehnoezh and Stylus are both tech stores. These payment platforms were introduced in September and August, respectively.
Ukraine has been a leader in crypto adoption since Russia invaded late February, with governments and organizations relying on cryptocurrency donations for defense and humanitarian efforts.
