Akshaya.io and World Tennis League Team Up for “Phygital” NFT


Akshaya.io, an NFT platform, has announced a partnership with the World Tennis League (WTL). A "Phygital" marketplace will offer fans the opportunity to purchase autographed WTL jerseys and a 3D digital NFT as part of this collaboration.
A number of famous tennis players, including Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek, will be available to meet and interact with fans during the inaugural World Tennis League event in Dubai. Fans will be able to collect physical as well as digital memorabilia during the event, as well as create NFTs to commemorate their interactions.
According to Ganesh Raju, CEO of Akshaya, the inaugural World Tennis League in Dubai presents a rare and fantastic opportunity to "make use of our physical, tactile, and digital experiences." The World Tennis League event, which includes four teams (the Falcons, Eagles, Kites, and Hawks) and top ATP and WTA Tour players like Djokovic, Swiatek, Badosa, Kyrgios, Caroline Garcia, Auger-Aliassime, Rybakina, and Zverev. This event will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai from December 19-24.
