MicroStrategy Announces Plans to Introduce Bitcoin Lightning Solutions in 2023

The business intelligence company MicroStrategy, founded by Michael Saylor, plans to introduce Bitcoin Lightning Solutions by 2023. Saylor is a strong believer in Bitcoin and optimistic about its prospects. As a result of this enthusiasm, MicroStrategy has acquired 132,500 bitcoin, making it the largest corporate holder. In a tweet, Saylor said the company was exploring various Bitcoin Lightning Network-based software solutions.
"We want to make it possible for any enterprise to spin up Lighting infrastructure in an afternoon" and onboard thousands of employees or customers", said Saylor.
"We want to plug it into enterprise technology and make it a marketing strategy for any forward thinking CMO," he added
Among the areas where MicroStrategy will use Lightning solutions are web paywalls, online content monetization, enterprise marketing, and internal corporate controls. Satoshis, the smaller unit of Bitcoin, can be rewarded to customers as a way to encourage them to write reviews or provide feedback, said Saylor.
MicroStrategy is considering adopting the Bitcoin Lightning Network to run its solutions, which currently operate on Amazon's AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud servers. A Bitcoin Lightning Software Engineer will be hired by the company to build a SAAS platform on the network to facilitate this transition.
To enhance cybersecurity, users will be able to make deposits in Satoshis. To access sensitive corporate websites, visitors will be required to pay a security deposit that will be promptly refunded.
With the Bitcoin Lightning Network, transactions can be processed quickly, a feature not available with credit or debit cards. Beta version of the solution is expected in 2022.
