DOGAM the first Web3 game for NFT pet companions raised $14 million in investment round to create the first Web3 mobile game for mainstream audiences. An augmented reality smartphone game including nonfungible token (NFT) pet companion, DOGAM, has raised funds from XAnge, Animoca Brands, Ubisoft, and the co-founders of The Sandbox who are renowned investors.
DOGAM is the first NFT Web3 AR mobile game for the mainstream market where users may adopt and raise a 3D dog while earning $DOGA, the game's native cryptocurrency.
Additionally, the business has released its first mobile application, called "DOGA House," which enables users to engage with their "NFT puppies" in the "DOGAM universe" and learn more about them while also earning DOGA cryptocurrency. DOGA House is only accessible to owners of a Dogam NFT. The software allows community members, named "Dogamers," to locate and communicate with their NFT puppies. The programme, which is available for both iOS and Android, lets users play, feed, pet, and walk their dogs in the DOGAM universe in exchange for the cryptocurrency $DOGA.
To purchase or sell NFT avatars, and to take part in events in the DOGAM universe, holders need to utilize the cryptocurrency $DOGA. Owners of $DOGA may also use it to purchase physical clothing, accessories, and tickets to live and virtual events in the future.
Four different rarity tiers of DOGAM's 12,000 unique virtual NFT buddies are currently available. There are currently fifteen Dogam breeds available, including the well-known Shiba Inu, Corgi, and Australian Shepherd. In 2023, new breeds will be made available. Owners of Dogam will be able to produce new virtual friends due to an inventive breeding feature. By the end of 2023, DOGAM anticipates its community members will have produced up to 100,000 different Dogam NFTs.
In just a few hours, DOGAM's initial investment has enabled to sell 12,000 dog avatars and 12,000 NFTs of canine accessories which ranked them at the top spot in terms of volume traded on key NFT platforms on Tezos. With the initial investment, DOGAM went for a partnership with omni-channel clothing store GAP. In less than a year over 200,000 dog lovers have joined DOGAM which is one of the most devoted Web3 communities.
The gaming environment will be developed, and there will be new animations and interactions, augmented reality, mini-games, and competitions between Dogamers are all features and upgrades that DOGAM aims to roll out in the upcoming months. In addition, the team is hard at work on a brand-new mobile game that will enable Dogamers to have enjoyable adventures with their virtual friends and launch in 2023.
