Following Google’s partnership with crypto exchange Coinbase Global Inc. to let customers pay for cloud services in cryptocurrencies, the search engine is presently providing information on Ethereum addresses when they are searched for.

The ETH balance of an Ethereum wallet is shown by the search engine when its address is pasted in the search bar of Google.

The wallet details are gathered via the Etherscan Ethereum block explorer. For the time being, it appears that this exclusively applies to Ethereum addresses and not to other digital currencies like Bitcoin.

Crypto investor at Google Ventures, Han Hua who focuses on cryptocurrencies and formerly worked as a Google engineer, first noticed this. The principal investor at Google Ventures Han Hua tweeted about the feature Tuesday, “Well done, blockchain address is now available in Google Search!”

Nowadays, Google has begun to provide more crypto interactions.

Google, which is owned by Alphabet Inc presented a countdown to The Merge, Ethereum's most transition to proof of stake, which featured two pandas moving closely together.

According to CNBC, Google is turning out more crypto-centered; the internet giant said that it would begin using Coinbase to accept digital currencies Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Dogecoin to make payments for cloud services early next year.

In September, Google’s Web3 and Cloud head of strategy Richard Widmann told that the company was working to grow its Web3 features. This implies that Google, seemingly one of the main tech organizations in the world, has its eyes firmly set on what is believed to be the following collaboration of the web which depends deeply on blockchains to work.
