MTV announced on Thursday that the legendary rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg will perform their hit song "From the D 2 The LBC" this Sunday.

“GET READY… [Eminem and Snoop Dogg] are bringing “From the D 2 The LBC” to the VMAs stage for a world premiere performance,” MTV said.

MTV will present the Video Music Awards as part of its 37th annual presentation since September 14, 1984.

MTV tweeted on August 25 that rap stars Snoop Dogg and Eminem would perform at this year's VMAs at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. This will be the first VMAs to be hosted by Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J, and Jack Harlow.

Eminem and Snoop will both be performing at the event for the first time in over a decade. Performance is described as “a first-of-its-kind performance... inspired by the otherside metaverse,” a virtual gaming world that isn’t yet fully developed but uses NFTs and ApeCoin.

The BAYC #9,055 owned by Eminem and the BAYC #6,723 owned by Snoop Dogg were both purchased for six figures. In addition to their love for collecting high-profile NFTs, Snoop and Eminem have also created an animated music video that showcases their high-profile NFTs. The video has also been nominated for a Video Music Awards award.

The duo was last spotted together at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, which featured Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and rapper 50 Cent.

Snoop and Eminem have been nominated for the Best Hip-Hop category for "From the D 2 the LBC." Kendrick, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and Jack Harlow are also nominated. The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards airs at 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
