The launch of Samsung Space Tycoon, an experience-type virtual space, on the metaverse platform Roblox has been announced by the electronics manufacturer Samsung Electronics Co.

Samsung Space Tycoon is a virtual universe using a management simulation game (tycoon) that enables users to create and use Samsung items throughout the cosmos. In this universe, users will be able to take part in a space station by acquiring resources to design and build Samsung items by selecting their basic components which will be featured in the gaming metaverse. Users can explore resources, customize Samsung products, such as smartphones and home appliances, with different designs, and buy or upgrade game objects all against the backdrop of the Samsung Space Research Lab, where aliens study new inventions. The target demographic is the younger audience, who will have the chance to learn about the company and its goods through this experience. It is intended to engage Gen Z users.

Additionally, the experience will also have a store in the virtual world where players can purchase in-game stuff for their avatars. The electronics company Samsung is introducing this metaverse world and created it as a component of the Roblox universe.

It allows users to express their creativity by taking real-world objects and turning them into in-game gadgets. The robot vacuum cleaner Jet Bot can be transformed into a hoverboard, and the folding Galaxy Z Flip smartphone can transform into a purse or a scooter. The Sero vertical TV can transform into a single-person helicopter.

Samsung Space Tycoon was created to demonstrate content that can deliver meaningful and entertaining digital experiences to current and potential customers, explained Jinsoo Kim, executive vice president at Samsung Electronics' Corporate Design Center.

Exposure of Samsung in Metaverse space :

With influential partners in the region, Samsung has been actively developing a number of initiatives. One of these is the NFT platform that was established in collaboration with the well-known NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway and would enable the platform to provide its NFTs through Samsung smart TVs.

The business has also invested in organizations whose main goal is to create platforms based on the metaverse. The funding round was completed in April for Doubleme, a metaverse company based in Korea. In the same line, the business opened its own store in January in Decentraland, one of the most well-known metaverses.
