Samsung and Nifty Gateway announced partnership to create an NFT platform for the tech giant’s smart TVs
Tech firm Samsung announced about partnering with cryptocurrency exchange Gemini owned Nifty Gateway which is premier marketplace for NFTs. This partnership was done to develop the first ever smart TV NFT platform for customers to explore, purchase, and trade digital art and collectibles.
In January at the CES trade show Samsung first announced the plans to integrate NFT functionality within its new TVs. Nifty Gateway NFT platform will be integrated within Samsung's new 2022 premium TV product lines which includes QLED and Neo QLED TV sets. Nifty Gateway also provides its independent app for owners of Samsung’s The Frame and MICRO LED offerings which can be downloaded to gain access. Using Samsung's and Nifty Gateway's technology, customers can browse, display, and interact with NFTs from the comfort of their couch. Additionly, customers will have access to more than 6,000 art pieces from top artists including Beeple, Daniel Arsham, Pak, and more. Customers receive quality content when Nifty Gateway generates NFTs for them. The Nifty Gateway Omnibus wallet offers users the possibility of storing NFTs collectibles in a secure location rather than having to store them in an external wallet. NFTs can be purchased using a variety of methods, including debit cards, credit cards, or cryptocurrency.
With the help of Samsung, Nifty Gateway developed a viewing, buying, and trading experience optimized for televisions. On the Nifty Gateway platform users will be able to view all artwork including one of Nifty’s own curated collection, notable artists like Beeple, Pak, and XCOPY, NFTs that have been aggregated from other marketplaces. In the fall, the platform expanded its collection beyond its own curated drops to include NFT collectibles.
