Sandbox Partners With Multimedia Game Franchise Owner Ubisoft

On 8th February, the Multimedia Game Franchise Owner Ubisoft has announced, a partnership with The Sandbox which is an open Metaverse. In it, the players can assemble with virtual avatars and interact in a virtual space to buy up land and hang out.
The blockchain-based virtual world The Sandbox is bringing Ubisoft and the Rabbids. As per the announcement, there will be a virtual world in which Ubisoft will own its own land, and its characters will be voxelized versions of Rabbids' characters. The partnership between the two companies will lead to the introduction of the Rabbids in the Sandbox. This will enable the users to create content and unique experiences using Ubisoft’s iconic mascots.
According to the Sandbox, the project has “strategically partnered with Ubisoft to introduce Ubisoft game IP elements to The Sandbox gaming metaverse.” In order to start with, Ubisoft is already underway to recreate characters from the franchise Rabbids, a spin-off video game stemming from Rayman.
In the statement issued Tuesday, Ubisoft’s senior manager of new business and partnerships, Guillaume Mammi, said “the company was excited to bring the Rabbids to The Sandbox community, but Ubisoft did not say what other gaming franchises would be included, nor did it give a timeline for further roll-outs.”
In addition to Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy's, Prince of Persia, Rabbids, and Rayman, Ubisoft produces a variety of multimedia franchises.
About The Sandbox:
The Sandbox, becoming popular only a year ago, is the metaverse platform and it is still under development. Yet it has to announce the launch date. It is the subsidiary of Hong Kong-based blockchain company Animoca Brands and the decentralized gaming virtual world project. Due to increase in interest in NFTs since last year led the Sandbox to become one of the poster projects for the blockchain gaming community.
